Howdy Folks! It’s been a while since my last post and I find tonight to be a most prime time for a life update since I should be moving all of my stuff out of the apartment and over to my boyfriend’s place. However, as in custom, procrastination undoubtedly calls it’s name to me!… Let’s blog instead!!! It is October 30, the day before HALLOWEEN, which, this year signifies the last day in our Pacific Beach apartment in San Diego. Awww, so sad, but SO fantastic at the same time!
Oh, 1468 Missouri St. Apt #6, You have given me the best of times. Thank you for being close to Yogurt on the Rocks, Garnet Avenue, and the Pacific Ocean. Your location tickles my fancy like no other apartment location I’ve ever lived at. The best days are when I can enjoy a walk on the Mission Beach Boardwalk, or along Mission Bay, which I’ve made sure to do at least once a week for all of 2009.

Besides just your location, good things have happened here. I will not forget thrusting to Chris Brown’s “Take You Down” in the main room. I won’t forget Sabrina falling off her chair laughing in the same room, on the same night. This moment was truly unforgettable, and plays in my head often, which makes me giggle. I won’t forget slaving over sequin art as the neighbors looked in daily wondering what the final outcome would be. I won’t forget all the music I’ve written here, or watching Glee, or learning about “PlentyofFish.com”. I definitely won’t forget listening to all of Teryn’s crazy man stories or Sabrina’s for that matter. And how could I forget the time Sabrina and I chose to abandon you for the night to sleep on the Beach?! Times have been good! But while we’re at it, let’s not forget the crummy times too (just for fun).
I must say you started as one of the most stressful living situations I’ve ever been in. Items were thrown through your walls and doors were broken by grown men who just couldn’t seem to get along. Drama consumed you for a good first part of 2009. I almost left you in attempts to escape “the heat of it all” until Sabrina came to my rescue. (I’d like to take a moment to thank God, or Evolution, or whatever you believe created the female gender. I don’t know what I’d do without my girlfriends). I suppose there’s bound to be some drama with 3 people in a 1 bedroom apartment, but I’d never seen men fight so much, and talk so much before! This was much too stressful on my psyche.
Long story short, both eventually parted ways from each other (which is for the better for them both. Good decision boys!) and this created an apartment for three chill females. This was a very pleasant and much easier situation which I enjoyed very much. Overall apartment, you’ve been full of many more good times than bad times. And just to makes things really cheesy, because who doesn’t like cheese?!,..I kissed the man I love for the first time right outside of this apartment.. and I’ll never forget that because it was the perfect night.
Did I make you vomit!?!

I now sit here, feeling 1) tired (I’m working a back to back) and 2) SO excited. I’m staying with my boyfriend for a few weeks and then finally departing to the Land down Under (aka Australia) for about a week and a half. Shortly after, I’ll head to New Zealand for about 2 weeks, and then I’ll return for a lovely California Christmas and before you know it, I’m not going to know where this year went!
Thanks for being my home in 2009 and a quite nice apartment to live in. More than anything, you’ve really made me appreciate what many people commonly take for granted: having your own room, having a real bed, not being woken up by people’s different work shifts, and not having to hear and/or be a part of everything that happens (good or bad) in an apartment, etc.
Thanks for everything 1468 Missouri St. Apt #6.. and Farewell!!!!
